Computer Graphics: Principles and Practice

The "Computer Graphics: Principles and Practice" book receives mixed reviews from customers. Some readers appreciate the thorough explanation of coding steps and the use of WPF as a test vehicle for introductory computer graphics. They find the book to be a much-needed and long-awaited textbook with a modern perspective on the subject, presenting practical applications with real-world examples. However, other readers express frustration with the complexity of the book for novice graphics programmers. They highlight that some pieces of code are difficult to implement due to insufficient explanation and a lack of examples for algebraic concepts. Some also criticize the inadequate coverage of WPF as an introduction, suggesting the need to learn WPF before delving into the book. The price of the book is a point of contention, with some believing it is justified given the content, while others feel it should be lower due to the amount of Microsoft product placement and ads throughout the book. Additionally, there are complaints about the packaging and shipping, with customers receiving the book in poor condition due to inadequate protection during transit. Overall, the book is praised for its valuable content on computer graphics principles and practical applications, but it receives criticism for its complexity, lack of coding examples, and issues with packaging and pricing.
