Reviewers have Consistently noted the film’s witty dialogue and picturesque Mediterranean backdrop, praising the production design and iconic costumes that set a vibrant tone throughout the movie. The cinematography, particularly in this restored version, is widely appreciated; while some viewers expressed concerns about overly sharp prints that could detract from the film's intended atmosphere, many found the Blu-ray's softer, richer colors reminiscent of the nostalgia they felt while watching it in their youth.
