Action & Adventure Editorial Review
Mortal Kombat (2021) is a must-watch for action movie, martial arts, and video game lovers. The visuals are stunning and each character is given a fleshed-out history, motivations, and personality which adds depth to the overall story. The performances of Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, and Mehcad Brooks as Jax are remarkable. The Dolby Atmos sound mix immerses the viewer in the action with bone-shattering punches and kicks that feel like they're happening right in your living room. Overall, it is a worthy addition to the franchise.
