What are the key benefits of using the PumpSpy float switch?

Using the PumpSpy float switch offers several benefits, including improved water level detection, ensuring your sump pump operates precisely when needed. Its tethered design allows for flexibility in positioning, while the 10-foot cord accommodates deeper sump pits. This reliable float switch helps prevent basement flooding and water damage, ensuring your property remains dry during heavy rains or flooding events.

Absolutely! The PumpSpy float switch is specifically designed to handle sewage applications, making it suitable for both clean and wastewater sump pumps. Its robust construction and reliable performance ensure it can handle the demands of sewage applications, allowing for efficient wastewater management while keeping your environment safe and clean.

Does the float switch require maintenance?

The PumpSpy float switch is designed to be low maintenance. However, periodic inspections are recommended to ensure proper operation. Check the float for any obstructions and ensure the tether is functioning correctly. Regular checks, particularly before heavy rainfall seasons, will help maintain optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your sump pump system.

What safety features does the PumpSpy float switch offer?

The PumpSpy float switch includes several safety features, such as a piggyback plug that prevents accidental disconnection. Its reliable design ensures that your sump pump operates only under the correct water levels, reducing the risk of pump damage or overflow. What should I do if my float switch isn’t working?

If your PumpSpy float switch isn’t functioning correctly, first check for any obstructions that may be preventing the float from moving freely. PumpSpy Pump Accessories TS-100 Editorial Review

The PumpSpy Sump Pump Tethered Float Switch is a reliable option for controlling sump pumps. It is easy to install and designed for 110V connections. The switch turns on at approximately a 45-degree angle, and it only completes the circuit; current is dependent on the draw of your pump. The switch only has one contact that is used to control pumps, and it conducts current when the float is tilted up and opens the circuit with no current when it is tilted down. In terms of customer experience, some customers reported issues with the switch failing continuity tests with a voltmeter, not operating their pump or cycling every 10 minutes. However, others found it easy to install and a cost-effective alternative to buying a new pump. One customer suggested that it would be better if it had a few seconds delay before turning off and stated that great quality materials were used.
