Pink Floyd Records All Rock Music Editorial Review
** Pink Floyd - Meddle** "Pink Floyd - Meddle" is an intriguing piece in the band's discography, revered by fans for its departure from conventional rock towards a more experimental and alternative sound. This album encapsulates a fascinating transition period for Pink Floyd, heralding their evolution into deeper, sometimes darker themes, yet preceding the politically charged narratives that would come to define much of their later work, particularly under Roger Waters. The 2016 CD reissue has rekindled interest in the album, allowing both new listeners and longtime fans to appreciate its sonic explorations in a high-quality format. Listeners have expressed an appreciation for the album's character and depth, noting its uniqueness compared to Pink Floyd's later output. The innovative soundscapes and emotional undertones resonate well with those who enjoy music that pushes boundaries. This exploration into alternate styles is refreshing, making "Meddle" a significant listen for anyone interested in the roots of progressive rock. Overall, "Meddle" stands out as a pivotal moment in Pink Floyd's journey, and the reissue presents a perfect opportunity to dive into its historical and musical relevance. **
