The SHOP FOX M1036 Micro Milling Machine is a small, accurate, and well-made machine that is designed for light steel and alloys. It's not suitable for heavy milling, and torque could also be an issue. The head is fixed to up and down, but the cross slide can be shimmed to level or tram. It comes with collets, and the drill chuck will only accept bits with a maximum of 1/4 " shank. However, it is not suitable for use in Thailand with 220 volts electricity. Some customers have struggled with the quality of the motor, with one customer's motor dying within ten minutes. Although another customer has praised the machine's attention to detail and accuracy, stating that the slide is very well made. Another customer was disappointed by the product's quality, with the chuck falling off.
