Questions et réponses des clients
-
question:
What material is the blade made of?
répondre: The blade is made of carbon steel, which is a high-quality metal that is designed for durability and strength. -
question:
Is the scabbard included with the sword?
répondre: Yes, the sword comes with a metal scabbard, which is perfect for storage and transportation. -
question:
Is this sword suitable for collectors or costumes?
répondre: Absolutely! This cavalry saber sword is both stylish and intimidating, making it perfect for collectors or costumes. -
question:
Is the sheath metal and how heavy is it?
répondre: The sheath is metal. I don't know the exact weight of the sheath or sword, but neither is noticeably heavy. -
question:
Is the sword sharp?
répondre: It is not REAL sharp but with force it would cut. Easily dulled though. -
question:
Does this sword have an edge on it or is it dulled?
répondre: The sword does not have a honed & sharpened edge. It rounded over and will not cut your hand if you run it down the length of the blade. -
question:
Does the sword and sheath rust soon after receiving?
répondre: If uncoated carbon steel (or any good metal) is left unmaintained and oiled for long enough it will rust yes. Especially in humid climates. -
question:
Is this sword dangerous?
répondre: I wouldn't give it to small children. It's a real sword, just smaller. It's dangerous in the wrong hands. -
question:
Is this battle ready?
répondre: It is not a sharpened edge, but I suppose it could be sharpened. It is also not a full sized sword, but the price is right, it worked well with our Civil war Artillery uniforms during Enactments. -
question:
Is this good for a 9 year old civil war costume?
répondre: Not unless your 9 year old is a pretty big kid. This is a good quality reproduction of the original in length and weight. This is not a toy. -
question:
Does this sword have scroll work on the blade or is it a simple mirror finish?
répondre: It is a simple mirror finish. Also, it is a much smaller replica of the 1860 original. -
question:
Is this sword fragile?
répondre: It is made of steel. I was mad one day and with full force hacked at a chunk of firewood. I’m pretty strong as far as hacking goes and it didn't break. If you hack wood with it all the time, it would probably break, but you shouldn't have to hack anything with it.
SZCO Supplies Swords Editorial Review
The SZCO Supplies Cavalry Sword is a fair construction, good value for short-term practice re-enactment sword. The grip is small and the handle may not fit properly in larger hands. The sword is not sharp, but has the potential to cut with force. It is made of steel and is not easily broken. The sword is a smaller replica of the 1860 original, with a simple mirror finish.
