Rough Rider Pocket Knives & Folding Knives RR375 Editorial Review
The Whittler Amber Bone knife has garnered a mix of positive and critical feedback from customers, primarily centered around its performance as a whittling tool and its build quality for the price. A Consistent theme among reviewers is that this knife, while featuring an attractive design and good fit and finish for an affordable price, often requires some initial maintenance after purchase. Many users highlighted that cleaning, oiling, and a little extra honing are necessary to optimize the knife's functionality. The knife has a compact size and boasts multiple blade options, making it a great choice for whittlers who need versatility in a pocket-sized tool. Customers appreciated the polished finish and the Consistent bevels of the blades, which allow for functional cutting and whittling without the immediate need for additional sharpening. Users have also noted that the main blade is slightly harder to open due to its spring tension; however, this design contributes to the safety of the blade's usability. Criticism arises mainly in terms of the alignment of the blades when closing, with some users reporting misalignment that lead to chipping of the blades. Others expressed concern about the flexibility of the smaller blades, indicating that they do not hold their shape well, which could affect performance during more detailed work. Despite these issues, most users are satisfied with their purchasing decision, especially given the knife's price point of $15. In summary, the Whittler Amber Bone is an affordable and well-crafted knife that serves as a solid introductory tool for whittling enthusiasts, although potential customers should be prepared for minor maintenance upon arrival. **
