Action & Adventure Editorial Review
The Lost City is an adventure movie with an Indian Jones-ish vibe, following a romance novelist and a washed-up explorer on a quest to find the mythical city of gold. However, the movie falls short in terms of its script, with poor choices taking away from its potential to be a five-star movie. While the actors, especially Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, and the supporting cast, were good, they were not given much to work with. The movie lacks a love interest developed earlier in the film, no real treasure to chase, and a much better villain. Despite this, the movie is still entertaining and has the right amount of humor, romance, and adventure.
