The Bane Chronicles Paperback – Illustrated, November 3, 2015
The Bane Chronicles is a collection of short stories that provide a peek into the life of Magnus Bane, a popular character from The Mortal Instruments series and The Infernal Devices trilogy. Written in a chaotic and humorous tone, the book offers entertaining and light-hearted stories that will leave readers laughing out loud. While the book does not offer a storyline or major revelations, it is a fun read for fans of the Shadowhunter universe. The collection provides more background on familiar characters and explores the early stages of Magnus and Alec's relationship. However, readers hoping for a deeper understanding of Magnus may be left wanting. The narrative style is tongue-in-cheek, mirroring Magnus's personality, and brings a light-hearted touch to serious situations. Although the book does not expand the Shadowhunter universe significantly, it is a must-read for fans of the Magnus/Alec pairing. Overall, The Bane Chronicles Paperback is well-written, entertaining, and provides an enjoyable escape into Magnus Bane's magical world.
