Is the tabletop reversible?

Yes, the tabletop of the Hey! Play! Game Table is reversible, providing two distinct gameplay options in one compact piece of furniture. On one side, you have a beautifully designed chessboard, while the other features the classic backgammon layout. This reversible feature enhances its functionality, allowing you to switch games seamlessly and reducing the need for multiple gaming tables, which is great for maximizing space in smaller living areas.

What materials are used in the construction of the game table?

The Hey! Play! Game Table is constructed from high-quality materials that ensure durability and longevity. It is built with a sturdy frame that provides stability during gameplay and features a smooth, attractive surface for both chess and backgammon. Additionally, this inclusiveness creates opportunities for family bonding and encourages social interaction through gameplay.

How do I set up the gameboard for chess or backgammon?

Setting up the gameboard on the Hey! Play! Game Table is straightforward and user-friendly. Simply flip the tabletop to your desired game side — chess or backgammon — and arrange the pieces according to the standard game rules. For chess, position the pieces on the first two ranks. HEY! PLAY! Game Tables Editorial Review

Game Table - Reversible Tabletop with Chess and Backgammon Gameboards - Game Room Furniture by Trademark Games features a dual-purpose design, with dedicated surfaces for chess and backgammon, making it a great addition to any game room. While the tabletop is advertised as cherry wood, some users noted it appeared darker in pictures, actual assembly is straightforward with no required tools, just sliding the legs into place. However, be mindful of potential issues, as some customers faced damaged components upon arrival, prompting exchanges. Many users highlight the table's decent aesthetic appeal and its practical height for comfortable seating during gameplay, despite some lightweight chess pieces that could be improved.
