Fiction Editorial Review
Ten Black Dots is a picture book published in 1995, which is a great and simple tool to teach children counting from one to ten. The book is a classic among young readers and is published in paperback form. The book has detailed and well-done graphics, which continue to excite young readers as they count the black dots. The Prose in the book is interesting enough to keep both the child and the reader engaged. Parents have shared how their children have loved and enjoyed the book, with some parents noting how their kids specifically love to count the black dots and the train. The book has also been praised for teaching children on their own, and as a tool in the classroom for group learning. Some parents find the book a bit dated with illustrations including radios with knobs and piggy banks with pennies. However, the simplistic beauty of the book appeals to children and is a great resource for teaching numbers and discussing other topics.
