GS2 Games Games GS00012 Editorial Review
Hellmutt: Game Solutions 2 The Badass From Hell for PlayStation 4 has garnered a mixed reception among players, showcasing a blend of enthusiasm for its gameplay alongside frustrations primarily associated with multiplayer functionality. On one hand, many players praise the game for its engaging mechanics, particularly likening it to popular titles such as Dead Cells and Enter the Gungeon—games well-regarded for their twin-stick shooter gameplay. Reviewers appreciate the game's retro aesthetic, arguing that it adds to the overall joy and nostalgia, rather than detracting from it. The graphics and music resonate well with a segment of the audience who finds them retro yet modern and appealing. The challenging yet fair nature of the gameplay further enhances the experience, making it a worthy pursuit for those who enjoy the genre, especially given its budget-friendly price tag of under $20. However, challenges do arise, particularly with multiplayer features. Some users report severe glitches and crashes when attempting to engage in co-op play, leading to frustration and disappointment. Additionally, there are criticisms of the game’s control scheme, which a few players found confusing or subpar, contributing to negative experiences for some newcomers or those less familiar with retro-style controls. Overall, Hellmutt offers an enjoyable experience for players who appreciate its unique style and challenging gameplay, though potential buyers should weigh the risk of technical issues, especially concerning multiplayer options. **
