Rated: G Format: DVD Documentary Editorial Review
**Editorial Review** "When Dinosaurs Ruled" is a captivating collection of documentaries that delve into the fascinating world of dinosaurs, crafted with an emphasis on providing informative content for older audiences. Viewers have lauded the DVDs for their ability to present current paleontological theories while introducing lesser-known dinosaur species. Although some of the CGI effects may show their age, the engaging narratives, narrated with notable charisma by Jeff Goldblum, continue to hold viewers' attention, regardless of their age. The series not only appeals to adults who are deeply interested in paleontology but also proves to be immensely enjoyable for younger audiences, as confirmed by a variety of parents and educators. Children as young as four have been found captivated by the content, demonstrating its broad appeal. The documentaries draw connections between ancient ecosystems and modern-day landscapes, enriching the viewer's understanding of the prehistoric world. Anecdotal experiences suggest a strong educational component, with teachers incorporating the material into their curricula, further enhancing the learning experience. While there are some minor criticisms regarding the fading narration at times and the visual effects compared to more modern productions, the overall educational value and engaging approach make "When Dinosaurs Ruled" a recommended product for anyone interested in dinosaurs. **
