Nutritionist's Take

The Large PECS® Communication Book (Any) is primarily an educational tool designed for individuals with communication challenges, rather than a nutritional product. Nutritionists generally view it as a valuable resource in therapeutic settings, especially when working with clients who have specific dietary needs or challenges around food communication. While it doesn't provide direct nutritional benefits, it can facilitate better nutritional choices by enabling users to express preferences or dietary restrictions clearly. However, its effectiveness greatly relies on the user's understanding and engagement with the material. Potential drawbacks include that it's not a substitute for professional dietary guidance and may not address all dietary needs comprehensively. Overall, while it enhances communication around nutrition, consumers should pair it with personalized dietary advice to ensure holistic health benefits.

PECS Speech & Communication Aids Editorial Review

Large PECS Communication Book (Any) serves as a practical tool for professionals aiming to enhance communication through visuals. Many users appreciate its sturdy design; however, some feedback indicates disappointment due to a lack of completeness, as several reviews mention it being an empty folder with limited contents. This PECS system is known to assist in structuring language and communication effectively, but users have noted important components, such as a carry strap and full pages or symbols, are missing. As a result, some have felt misled by the product advertisement while others still find it beneficial for their students despite these shortcomings.
