Maksim Gorki , Mazlum Beyhan (Çevirmen) Editorial Review
The "My Universities: Modern Classics Series" has garnered enthusiastic feedback from readers who appreciate its engaging storytelling and rich characterization. Many reviewers express deep admiration for Maxim Gorky’s autobiographical writing style, often comparing it favorably to that of Dostoyevsky. Readers note that Gorky vividly illustrates the lives of Russian peasants and effectively recreates the period, allowing them to visualize the societal landscape of his upbringing. The emotional sincerity in Gorky's narratives resonates with those who enjoy autobiographical literature, leading some to claim that this series stands out as one of the finest autobiographies within Russian classics. Reviewers also recommend reading the trilogy in order for full appreciation of the evolution of Gorky's storytelling. Despite the overwhelmingly positive reception concerning the content, there were isolated comments on physical issues with the book, such as stains on pages and the absence of a bookmark. However, these are overshadowed by the warmth and praise for Gorky's writing and the quality of translation done by Mazlum Beyhan, which some readers described as remarkable. In summary, the series offers a heartfelt glimpse into Gorky’s life, resonating with readers who cherish autobiographical and classic literature. **
